Karen A. Jick, MSSW, ACSW, LCSW

Ms. Jick is a licensed clinical social worker who has more than twenty years of experience providing psychotherapy services. Her work includes family therapy, couples counseling, and child and adult mental health. She specializes in issues of adoption, post-traumatic stress reaction, medical compliance, procrastination and counseling for individual and families of both crime victims and perpetrators. She uses a strengths-based, motivational and solution-focused approach that is trauma-informed and incorporates cognitive-behavioral concepts.

Ms. Jick teaches social work courses on family therapy, counseling, and child welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and has conducted more than thirty workshops on professional ethics. Her professional experience also includes supervision, consultation, curriculum development & training and agency administration. She is a former president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and was selected statewide Distinguished Social Worker of the Year for 2003.
